The Idea of Accessibility Leaders
Who Are the Accessibility Leaders?
Accessibility Leaders are selected university staff members who are committed to promoting accessibility. The group has completed a three-month training program on support and accessibility topics.
Tasks of Accessibility Leaders
- Supporting individuals with special needs within the units of Wrocław University of Science and Technology,
- Promoting the idea of accessibility,
- Developing their skills through supervision meetings, where the team exchanges experiences and addresses current challenges in working with students,

Who Leads the Accessibility Leaders?
The Chair of the Group is Professor Katarzyna Jach, PhD, Eng., University Representative for Accessibility.
The group's coordination and support are managed by the consultant for students with special needs, Anna Zgrzebnicka.

How Can an Accessibility Leader Help You?
- Direct you to a place where you can receive support
- Help you prepare for a conversation with another staff member
- Advise you on how to navigate the university in various challenging situations
- Assist with academic formalities
- Provide information about accessibility
What Can't an Accessibility Leader Help You With?
- Does not provide direct psychological support – there are other specialists for that
- Cannot grant scholarships or other financial support
- Cannot prove to a lecturer that you have special needs
- Cannot influence the grades given by a lecturer
- Does not issue or mediate in obtaining medical exemptions
