Visual Information Design Standard
Purpose of the standard
The Visual Information Design Standard of Wrocław University of Science and Technology defines the rules for creating information boards placed in university buildings. The idea behind this standard is to establish a consistent visual identity for all facilities that is legible for various user groups, including those with special needs, in accordance with the Act of 19 July 2019 on ensuring accessibility for people with special needs.
Scope of application
When renovating buildings or making changes to visual information in facilities of Wrocław University of Science and Technology, the relevant unit is required to produce boards in accordance with the guidelines set out in this document. The visual information system in a building must be agreed upon with the Accessibility Office of Wrocław University of Science and Technology.

Catalogue of graphic symbols (pictograms and arrows) and room names
The annex contains a complete set of pictograms and directional arrows developed on the basis of ISO 7001:2007, to be used on information boards in university buildings. It also includes standardised room names in Polish and English that apply across all facilities of Wrocław University of Science and Technology.
