Purpose of the Document

To introduce uniform standards for ensuring information and communication accessibility at Wrocław University of Science and Technology – enabling all students and employees, including people with special needs, equal access to the same information.

Scope of the Standard

The guidelines apply to all employees who create information and communicate with others at Wrocław University of Science and Technology. If compliance is not possible, coordination with the accessibility coordinator is required.

Information and communication accessibility is ensuring an appropriate way of conveying information using means that support communication with recipients of public services, including educational services. The idea behind creating accessible content is universal design – ensuring correct reception by the largest possible group of people. Implementing the standard means that people with special needs are guaranteed at least the minimum requirements in line with the concept of universal design or reasonable accommodation.
