Rules for Using Support

Students with special needs can register for sports classes out of order on the day before the general university-wide registration. Registration is done electronically to the address: zapisy.swfis@pwr.edu.pl (with the course code read from the Current Registration Catalogue (AKZ)(opens in a new tab) (no later than the semester preceding the physical education classes) and a contact phone number). Attaching a student ID scan is not required. For students with disabilities, attaching a disability certificate is not necessary (unless the student has not reported this fact to the Accessibility Department). A special offer is available for people with health or motor issues, including swimming, bridge, bodybuilding-correction, and healthy back courses. Emails sent after the registration deadline for students with disabilities will not be considered.

Note: We do not practice exemptions from PE classes!

Students with health issues: Students applying for medical exemption from physical education classes must report (no later than in the semester preceding the physical education classes) to the director of the Physical Education and Sport Study Centre at Wrocław University of Science and Technology with medical documentation, based on which they will be assigned to the appropriate group. There are two options for completing sports classes for students with health issues:

• Inability to attend physical education classes in the regular mode. In this case, the student "A student with a medical exemption from mandatory physical education classes is obliged to complete substitute classes available from the Physical Education and Sport Study Centre..." (§16 item 12, Study Regulations effective from 1.10.2024). The Physical Education Study Centre offers students with health issues courses such as: bridge, chess, healthy back, bodybuilding-correction, swimming.
• Ability to participate in selected courses, considering health contraindications.
