At Wrocław University of Science and Technology, the idea of a "barrier-free" university has been implemented for several years, creating an open and welcoming environment for people with special needs. We create a space where we ensure that you feel safe and can pursue your education without obstacles. To achieve this, we have provided various forms of assistance, including:

• appropriate adaptation of university infrastructure,
• support during the recruitment process,
• creating conditions to speed up administrative procedures,
• Wrocław University of Science and Technology Alumni Association Scholarship,
• support in the educational process,
• educational assistant assistance,
• additional foreign language courses through face-to-face method (also remotely),
• psychological consultations (also remotely),
• loaning equipment and software for people with visual, hearing, and mobility impairments,
• adaptation of educational materials (specializing in exact sciences),
• portable FM systems, mobile induction loops, YourWay system with YourWay Plus markers,
• organization of trainings, integration trips, conferences (summer training-integrational camp "Dżamp"),
• participation in events within the "Accessible Culture" series,
• support for disabled drivers: help in obtaining a category B driving license, assistance with car adaptations,
• active participation in the Expert Council for the Education of Students with Disabilities and the Accessibility Commission at KRASP,
• collaboration with organizations supporting educational and professional development,
• awareness-raising activities: including activities from the "Polibuda for children" series, organization of Tyflolab Open Days, Night Listing, Equalize Campus.

Wrocław University of Science and Technology successfully implemented the project "University of New Opportunities" in the years 2021-2024 as part of the "Accessible University" competition. The entire project was financed with EU funds.
